The Minnesota State High School League started its investigation today into the brawl that took place at the end of the Prairie Seeds Academy vs. Totino-Grace match last Thursday evening at Maple Grove High School. The match was the Section 5A final for the two sides. Prairie Seeds Academy (PSA) was ahead 2-1 in the final minute of play when after a slight shove from a Totino-Grace player a PSA player turned around and punched him in the face setting off a melee. Those in attendance said that tensions were high the entire match.
Maple Grove police were called in to investigate the incident and the MSHSL said they would conduct their own investigation. That took place on Monday and late in the afternoon the organization released a statement saying they are requesting further information which will be looked at on Tuesday and the league will then issue a “definitive statement.”

The Minnesota State High School League continues to investigate a series of incidents that occurred during and after the Section 5A boys soccer championship game on Thursday, Oct. 18. League staff is reviewing reports from the game officials as well as others. League staff has requested additional information from the participating schools and it will also be reviewed before action, if any, is taken.
League staff plans to conclude its investigation on Tuesday, Oct. 23, after which the League intends to issue a definitive statement. Until that time, the League has no further comment.
