Zlatan To Head Back Over To English Football?

There are very few footballers on the planet more complicated than Zlatan, despite the fact that a lot of fans would probably describe him in their own way without even entertaining the idea of another theory. Beyond it all, though, one thing that cannot be denied is just how good of a footballer the Swedish star is.

Even at this stage of his career, when it seems like he should be slowing down, he’s playing some of his best football. Sure, it’s in a much less competitive league in the MLS, but he still deserves a great deal of credit.

As reported by Manchester Evening News and Daily Express, it appears as if Zlatan is already looking ahead to his next challenge as he considers the possibility of a move back over to English football with Manchester United.

The messiah cometh

Ibrahimovic has already spent time with United, and despite being in the ‘veteran’ stage of his career, he was still able to make good on his promise to dominate the Premier League. Now, with the club desperately needing a natural goalscorer, they’re turning towards Zlatan once again for help.

Whether or not he decides to make the jump back entirely depends, really, on his own state of mind. He could easily spend the next few years turning himself into an LA Galaxy legend (if he isn’t one already), and we wouldn’t really blame him for that.

Alas, he could feel as if he has unfinished business at Old Trafford, and a return to United could make him something of a messiah. Sure, he may get marked out of every single game he plays in, but something just tells us that isn’t going to be the case. This man is a unicorn and can do things at his age that he just shouldn’t be capable of doing.

United, on the other hand, will almost certainly be begging him to make the jump by the time it comes around to getting a deal over the finish line. He’s too much of a potential commodity for them to allow him to slip through their fingers, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be well aware of that fact.

Making waves

This is one of those stories that you need to be keeping an eye on if you’re a football fan, because we all know Zlatan isn’t actually going to be all too far away from retirement.

When he does wind up reaching that point, he almost certainly won’t have any regrets, because that’s just the kind of man he is. However, we’d argue it doesn’t really matter – Zlatan is going to do what Zlatan wants to do.

The Premier League is probably the only place in Europe he’d come back to based on how familiar it all is to him, and while it could be an absolute car crash of an idea, LA Galaxy fans need to realise just how entertaining it would be to see him competing at the highest level in Europe once again.
