New Premier League Season On The Horizon

Football, in one way or another (or soccer), never really left us over the summer. Major League Soccer has been in full flow, the summer transfer window has been really entertaining over in Europe, and there has been a wealth of international tournaments for us all to sink our teeth into.

Now, however, as reported by PremierLeague.com and Radio Times, we are just a matter of days away from the new Premier League campaign getting underway over in England.

Here we go again

The build-up has been pretty notable as the days and weeks have gone on, with media members, fans, players and beyond all giving their thoughts and opinions on how things are going to go down over the course of the next nine months.

While we know that not everyone is going to care all too much about the Premier League coming back, it’s still the most popular league in the entire sport and that deserves to be recognised. Sure, the money involved in it all is somewhat insane, but that’s because we all get such a high entertainment value from it.

This upcoming season feels like it’s going to be one of the best ever, too, and we aren’t just saying that for the sake of it. From the relegation battle all the way up to the fight for the title, every single team has something to fight for – and that’s not a statement you can really make every single year.

Even if you don’t support any of the clubs in the Prem, you can’t help but watch it every single week. It’s the equivalent of a sporting drug, because there’s just so much unpredictability to unpack and deal with.

Perhaps we’re overestimating and the importance and value of this division, but then again, the numbers kind of speak for themselves. More and more people are tuning in to see these teams battle for what they believe in, or, you know, just try and get as much money as they possibly can.

Get involved

The title race is probably going to be contested between Manchester City and Liverpool again, but that uncertainty keeps us all tuning in.

Plus, and this cannot be understated, England is now home to both European champions – Liverpool and Chelsea. While many people don’t put a whole lot of stock or importance into the Europa League, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. That doesn’t mean it isn’t incredibly important, either.

We wish that we had all the answers for what was going to happen, if only to ease the stress levels of the millions upon millions of fans who are going to be desperately trying to keep their composure for the next 38 games.

Then again, where would the fun be in that?

Whether you’re over in the States or you’re in England itself, we’d suggest you buckle up for what is bound to be another crazy season of competitive action.

Better yet, we’ll be there to help you make sense of it all every step of the way.
