Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Weekend

Following on from the mourning period last weekend for Queen Elizabeth II, football fans across the country are ready to return to stadiums and get back to watching the beautiful game – especially at elite level in the Premier League.

While a handful of fixtures have still been postponed due to a variety of reasons, we’ve still been able to pick out five games that we think you should tune in and watch.

Wolves vs Man City

Wolves have done great defensively so far this season but have struggled to find the back of the net and with that kind of split, you’d have to imagine this is going to be a pretty tense encounter – especially with the potential addition of Paulo Costa.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are on fire, and it’s tough to see another team who is going to consistently compete with them in the Premier League, and that’s particularly true with Erling Haaland leading the line.

Newcastle vs Bournemouth

Newcastle United’s strategy of spending loads of money and hoping it pays off is, for the most part, working quite nicely for them, although they need to start turning their draws into wins in the league.

Bournemouth, though, already look like a club destined to fall back down into the Championship which is a shame, given how memorable their initial first few years in the EPL were back in the day.

Tottenham vs Leicester

Tottenham are one of two clubs that hasn’t lost so far in the Premier League and even though their games may not always be the prettiest, Antonio Conte knows how to best the best out of his players.

Leicester, however, are in a really troublesome position, and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see Brendan Rodgers lose his job unless they can pull something out of the fire this weekend.

Brentford vs Arsenal

Brentford have been the surprise package yet again in the first few weeks of the season and given how much confidence they have, it’s not unheard of to picture them winning this fixture – as they did last season.

Alas, this is a very different Arsenal team they’ll be taking on with Mikel Arteta finally managing to turn them into consistent winners. Now, it’s all about maintaining that sharp edge between now and May.

Everton vs West Ham

Everton have struggled ever since Frank Lampard walked through the door and when you take a look at their squad, it’s kind of difficult to see where their first win of the campaign is actually going to come from.

West Ham are still situated in the bottom three but David Moyes appears to be putting the right pieces in place now, balancing their Conference League commitments together with the EPL nicely.
