Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Weekend

The intensity of the English Premier League isn’t lost on anyone who has spent longer than five minutes watching it. This weekend, we’re set for another round of action with the majority of the clubs in the top flight being set to play.

We’re really getting down to the nitty-gritty of the season now and, unsurprisingly, there’s a lot left for clubs to fight for across the table.

Today, we’re going to pick out five fixtures that are particularly intriguing.

Arsenal vs Manchester United

A big win for Arsenal against Chelsea means that whether you like it or not, they’re back in the top four hunt in a big way. Their inconsistency may eventually cost them but when they head back to the Emirates this weekend, they’ll be doing so with momentum.

The same cannot, unfortunately, be said for Manchester United. The Red Devils are struggling to get any kind of traction going and with the announcement of a new manager coming in the last few days, we’d say they’re already looking at this season as a write-off.

Burnley vs Wolves

Burnley may have sacked Sean Dyche after losing to Norwich but somehow, they’ve turned it into a positive. A win over Southampton and a point against West Ham means they could easily finish the weekend outside of the relegation.

Wolves, meanwhile, have a chance at pushing for a place in the Conference League and perhaps even the Europa if they can put in a strong few weeks of work – but without Neves, they’ll certainly be facing an uphill challenge.

Brentford vs Tottenham

Brentford have surprised a lot of folks by edging away from the relegation battle but given how they started off the season, we shouldn’t be shocked by their resilience and ability to adapt.

Tottenham Hotspur supporters know and understand the issues they’ve had for months now but Antonio Conte is starting to steady the ship. This’ll be a tough outing but a win would be absolutely massive in their Champions League pursuit.

Chelsea vs West Ham

Chelsea have the FA Cup final to think about but in addition to that, they also need to make sure they do everything in their power to hold onto a top four place – especially in the wake of a humbling defeat to Arsenal during the week.

West Ham are in the semi-finals of the Europa League but they’re also having to balance their responsibilities domestically, too. A win could take them into sixth, but a loss could open the door for Wolves to capitalise.

Liverpool vs Everton

Liverpool Football Club look pretty unstoppable right now and with a home game against Everton in the Merseyside derby to come, you’d have to think the Anfield faithful will be licking their lips at the thought of helping to relegate their city rivals.

At the same time, Everton fans are aware that this is a key few days in their survival push. Frank Lampard needs to dig deep as they have done against United and Newcastle because Burnley are ready to pounce.
