Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Weekend

The intensity of the English Premier League isn’t lost on anyone who has spent longer than five minutes watching it. This weekend, we’re set for another round of action with the majority of the clubs in the top flight being set to play.

Today, we’re going to pick out five fixtures that are particularly intriguing.

Leicester vs Leeds

Leicester City haven’t been able to get into the kind of rhythm that they have in previous seasons and while perhaps their fans have their expectations set too highly, they also need to recognise that they have world class players ready to be sold if called upon.

Leeds United have had to go through a managerial shift recently and that’s going to impact their psyche heading into the final stretch of the campaign but in equal measure, they have players at their disposal who can also change a game at the drop of a dime.

Norwich vs Brentford

Norwich City are considered by many to be the leading candidates for relegation, as has been the case all season long, even though they’ve been able to show some signs of life ever since Dean Smith came through the door.

Brentford’s form in the first 12 games or so helped them into the top half at one point but at a steady pace, they’ve been on the decline. We’re anticipating a really entertaining slugfest in what equates to a relegation six-pointer.

Liverpool vs West Ham

Liverpool need to keep the foot on the throat of the league leaders and that much is just kind of obvious. They’re six points behind with a game in hand and if they keep on winning, you never know how and when City could buckle.

West Ham are still set on making a sustained push for a place in the top four and all power to them. Even if they fall back into the Europa League again, nobody can deny they’ve found stability under the guidance of David Moyes.

Manchester City vs Manchester United

The Manchester derby is always a fun encounter and tends to be one of those “throw everything you know out of the window” sort of fixtures. With that in mind, you’d have to think Pep Guardiola will be incredibly vigilant as to what his rivals can offer up.

Ralf Rangnick is beginning to meet a steady pace as United manager and even though they aren’t going to be challenging for the championship anytime soon, they’re going to give their neighbours some problems in the Champions League battle.

Tottenham vs Everton

Tottenham Hotspur fans are beginning to panic because even though Antonio Conte is a world class manager, he still hasn’t been able to turn the sinking ship that is Spurs around. He needs time, but will he have the patience?

Everton, meanwhile, are hoping and praying that Frank Lampard is the answer to all of their prayers, but something tells us that’s a misguided way of looking at things. Either way, we’ve got a big game on our hands here.
