Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Weekend

The intensity of the English Premier League isn’t lost on anyone who has spent longer than five minutes watching it. This weekend, we’re set for another round of action with the majority of the clubs in the top flight being set to play.

Today, we’re going to pick out five fixtures that are particularly intriguing.

Arsenal vs Wolves

While this game is technically taking place on  Thursday, we all think Thursday should be the new Friday – especially with a game as important as Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Gunners got the better of Wolves at Molineux just a few short weeks ago but this time around, you can bet Lage’s men will fight until they can’t fight any longer as the push for the top four goes on.

Leeds vs Tottenham

Leeds United are a divisive team but now that they’ve been whooped by Liverpool, the grave nature of their relegation-threatened situation is becoming increasingly apparent.

Spurs, meanwhile, just lost to Burnley, and if they can’t beat Leeds then there’s a very real conversation that will be had regarding the future of Antonio Conte.

Everton vs Manchester City

Frank Lampard may not be coming across as the best choice to lead Everton forward but if they’re ever going to get a positive result, something bizarrely tells us it’ll come when we least expect it.

Manchester City have allowed Liverpool to claw their way back into the title race and if they slip up at Goodison Park, the Reds are going to be all over them like a rash.

Brentford vs Newcastle

Brentford supporters will now be recognising that they’re far from safe in their first season back in the top flight, despite how positive things seemed to be in their first few weeks of the campaign.

Newcastle, though, can’t seem to stop picking up good results, and they may even be looking towards a top half finish as a realistic possibility (once they’re a bit further way from danger).

Manchester United vs Watford

Watford are beginning to feel like a club destined for relegation but as we’ve come to learn, teams always seem to play to the best of their abilities when Manchester United are the opposition.

Ralf Rangnick has been able to grind out a few positive results recently and a commanding win here would really cement the Red Devils as the team to beat in the race to finish in the top four.
