Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Weekend

The intensity of the English Premier League isn’t lost on anyone who has spent longer than five minutes watching it. This weekend, we’re set for another round of action with the majority of the clubs in the top flight being set to play.

Today, we’re going to pick out five fixtures that are particularly intriguing.

Manchester United vs Southampton

Manchester United’s draw against Burnley proved that this once great club still has a lot of work to do before getting back to their former glories. Now, this weekend, they’ll face another tough test against in-form Southampton.

The Saints are back in the top half of the table and while it’s unlikely, to some, that they’re going to make a push for Europe, you simply can’t rule anything out – making this an important visit to Old Trafford.

Everton vs Leeds

Everton have never been relegated from the Premier League and while many still don’t think it’s going to happen this season, it’d be outright foolish to say it’s implausible, because it isn’t.

Leeds United are actually stringing results together whereas the Toffees can barely string two passes together. In this relegation six-pointer, both teams have their backs against the wall.

Tottenham vs Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur are beginning to understand that just because Antonio Conte is their manager, it doesn’t mean their fortunes are going to change overnight. In this game, they know that the pressure is on.

Wolves fans are raising some questions about their chances of finishing in the top six but even with that being the case, they’re still one of the most intriguing teams to watch in terms of their style.

Burnley vs Liverpool

Burnley got a point against United and they haven’t lost in their last three Premier League games. Going up against Liverpool is a completely different ball game, but we can’t rule anything out.

Liverpool need to try and keep the pressure up on the always-rampant Manchester City, but heading to Turf Moor is a difficult prospect for any team.

Leicester vs West Ham

Brendan Rodgers knows and understands that he is fighting for his job. If they lose to West Ham, there’s an excellent chance he will be sacked as manager after what’s turned out to be a pretty successful run.

West Ham, meanwhile, still view themselves as top four hopefuls. They’ve got the squad to do it, and now, it’s all about executing David Moyes’ vision on the pitch. Oh, and they also need to get rid of Kurt Zouma.
