Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Week

The Premier League returns once again this weekend for another stacked series of fixtures in England’s top flight. We’re just about making our way through the halfway point of the campaign but based on the state of the table, we’d say that nothing is even close to being decided – as it should be.

Today, we’re going to take a look at five games you should all be watching out for this weekend.

Man United vs Man City

The Manchester derby is always fascinating to watch and that’s especially true this time around. United, on their current run of form, will fancy their chances at getting past their bitter rivals – especially at Old Trafford.

City, meanwhile, understand the magnitude of this fixture. If they drop points and allow Arsenal to gain an edge on them in their own derby collision, it could prove to be a huge knock for Pep’s side’s chances.

Wolves vs West Ham

It seems strange to view Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Ham United as a relegation six-pointer. Alas, that’s the position we find ourselves in, with both sides knowing they can’t really afford to lose here.

Wolves are the ones in the bottom three and they’re at home, meaning the pressure is really on them. For David Moyes, though, he’ll understand that a loss could easily spell the end of his time in charge.

Nottm Forest vs Leicester

A good old fashioned East Midlands derby is upon us as Nottingham Forest host Leicester City. Given how the reverse fixture in this one went, it’s actually a bit surprising to see how both teams have come on since then.

Forest are starting to piece together results and look as if they could well keep themselves up in the Premier League. On the flip side, Brendan Rodgers is clinging on to his role as manager with the Foxes in desperate need of a big performance.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

In one of two London derbies this weekend, Chelsea take on Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. Based on their defeat to local rivals Fulham last night, we’d say Graham Potter’s Blues are going to be in desperation mode in this one.

The Eagles’ struggle isn’t quite so bad but it’s still notable. Patrick Vieira is starting to face some real adversity for the first time since taking over and given his side’s track record for upsets, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them get a result.

Tottenham vs Arsenal

The North London derby is here once again, and it’s a big one. Tottenham fans know that a win could vault them back into the top four, but they’re also aware of the fact that things are looking a big shaky when it comes to the tenure of Antonio Conte.

Arsenal, of course, are the current Premier League leaders, sitting five points clear of reigning champions Manchester City. Very few expected that to be the case at the start of the season but now, they’re in a position whereby a title win seems possible.
