Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For After International Break

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls – the final international break of 2021 has officially come to an end. It’s been a long and arduous road to get to this point but between now and the new year, it’s nothing but domestic and European carnage for fans to get excited about.

That’s especially true for the Premier League which, as we all know, is regarded by many as the best league in world football.

With that in mind, we want to take a look at five Premier League games going down this weekend that are bound to get fans excited.

Leicester vs Chelsea

Leicester City haven’t exactly pushed themselves to the limit this season in the Premier League, especially when compared with their Europa League run. Still, they’ve got Vardy, so anything is possible.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are sitting pretty as the team to beat in the title race. They’ve got a great squad, a great manager and a great approach to the next few months – or at least, so it appears.

Aston Villa vs Brighton

Aston Villa are officially under new management with Steven Gerrard come in to replace Dean Smith. It’ll pinch a bit at first, like a new pair of shoes, but we’re intrigued to see what kind of start he makes.

Brighton & Hove Albion are tough for just about anyone to take on in this league right now. They’re sharp up top, confident defensively and they don’t shy away from a challenge.

Wolves vs West Ham

Wolves’ nice run of form may have come to an end before the international break but when you take one look at their squad, it’s clear to see why they’re still considered to be one of the most intimidating sides in the league outside of the very elite.

West Ham United, though, are just on a completely different level. David Moyes has done some magnificent things with this squad and it’ll be nothing short of fascinating to see where they go from here.

Liverpool vs Arsenal

Liverpool’s defeat to West Ham before the break really did serve as a reminder that anything can happen in this league. Alas, when you take one look at their squad, it’s hard to be too cynical about what they could achieve.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are flying higher than they have done in a long time. Mikel Arteta finally appears to have found a formula that works and if they win this game, they’ll be back in the top four.

Tottenham vs Leeds

The Antonio Conte era has begun at Tottenham Hotspur and we’d argue that this could be the most exciting time for the club in many years. Sure, there are questions about Kane, but this is a manager who knows how to win.

Leeds United are treading water in a big way and they’ve got big “second season syndrome” vibes about them. Marcelo Bielsa is still a great coach but they’ll have to scratch and claw like they never have before if they’re going to vault away from trouble.
